Paul Glass

Paul Glass (* November 19, 1934, Los Angeles) was educated at the University of Southern California. Among his teachers are the American film composer Hugo Friedhofer and the European composers Boris Blacher, Goffredo Petrassi or Witold Lutoslawski. Since 1973 he lives in Switzerland. He is teaching at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano.

Besides his rich work in the field of classical music, he has created a series of film scores for cinema and TV: for example Bunny Lake Is Missing (Otto Preminger 1965), Sole Survivor (Paul Stanley 1970), Overlord (Stuart Cooper 1975), La valle delle ombre (Mihály Györik 2009).
